He moved to Florence where he trained in 1321 and 1327, enrolled in the Arte dei Medici e Speziali, where he received numerous commissions.
By Simone Martini at Avignon, in 1336, where he obtained more easily control. He returned to Siena in 1337 and 1340 to carry out work to the dome of Siena and the Palazzo Pubblico, where he painted the famous frescoes of the "Effects of good and bad government," painted from 1338 in the Hall of the Nine on three walls.
